Charlotte Photographer: Style with Karie @Ivy & Eighth

Happy Wednesday!!! I am so excited about today's blog post I will be  featuring a Charlotte Blogger I had the opportunity to work with.

I love her personality and how she styles her outfits. Meet Karie from Ivy & Eighth. Karie was such a joy to photograph and just be around. Hopefully we get learn a little bit more of how to style our outfits.

Enjoy!

When did you open Ivy & Eighth? Why the name?

I started Ivy and Eighth in March of 2017, so it's still such a baby! It had been a seed in my heart for a really long time, but it wasn't until last September (2016) that I finally felt God say, "now is the time."

I'd spent months working on it before the site actually launched. The name literally means "faithful new beginnings", which is super fitting because it's a new adventure for me and it's all being written out of faith.

Your Mission as a blogger in your words?

My mission is to help inspire and empower women to find contentment within the boundaries of their budget - no matter what that budget may be. And what I mean by that is, we all have different lifestyles and income levels, but that's okay!

I want to help women learn to wear the things they already own, be a go-to guide for budget friendly fashion finds + gifts that won't break the bank and help women determine for themselves what they see as a save vs. splurge.

Life is all about balance, but it doesn't have to boring and you don't have to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to look like a million bucks. There's so much power in contentment and using what you have to your best abilities!

Where do you get your inspiration?

From everywhere! I love to flip through magazines, read other blogs and steal style tips from my friends all the time! And of course, there's Pinterest!

A tip for styling outfits?

Look for pieces with fun and unexpected details. A shirt with bell sleeves or a pair of silk printed joggers can make the most basic pieces feel more fashion forward. And it's an easy way to make it look like a lot of effort went into an outfit, without truly using any effort at all!
