I'm Priscilla Green!
Charlotte Maternity, Newborn and Baby Professional Photographer.
My photography style is more of a journalistic approach mixed in with a little editorial feel. My photos are styled, candid and a little posed because let's face we still want some of those traditional photos to keep for our memories.I'm Latina and my parents are from the beautiful island of Dominican Republic! I live in Concord, NC but I am originally from Miami Fl. I am a wife to a smarty pants wonderful husband (candidate for a Phd in Physics), a mom to energetic little boy who loves trains and everything boy, a mom to a tiny sweet little baby girl and I am a artsy kinda creative girl! I’m always working on a project; putting a backsplash in a kitchen, painting a room, re-arranging furniture about every 2 to 3 months ( I know! poor hubby has gotten used to it.)I am creative girl so I always am looking for ways to grow and fuel my creative side. What I am passionate about most is my love for people! Capturing families true personalities and connection for one another is what I love most. I love meeting all of my clients, getting to know my clients, providing a great personal service and beautiful photo products is what I strive for. I love photographing at my studio, outdoors in gardens, fields, parks, city or in my client’s own home .What I love most about photographing maternity, newborn and families is the connection and love. I want to capture the connection, the love, the looks, the silliness, and the quiet moments in between for my clients.Photography is one of those things to me that is most important in our lives not because of a material value but because they capture the essence of who we were, what we looked like, who we loved, and what we loved. Photography captures a little bit of history. These our memories that we can pass down in our families. We keep these memories not just to pass down for generations to come but for ourselves... to re live that moment again in our hearts. What I do... I take very seriously because it's my responsibility to document our moments so we may have beautiful photographs that tell our life's story.

Meet Valerie

Hi, I’m Valerie Ortiz but you can call me Val!
Before working for Priscilla Green Photography (PGP), I was actually on my way to becoming a veterinarian. I graduated from North Carolina State University (Go Pack!) with a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science in May 2019 and my dream was to do a dual DVM/PhD degree and become a professor in Veterinary Medicine, so I was working in a Public Health lab then a veterinary research lab at NC State’s Vet School but I was not happy. Thus, in October 2023, I left my veterinary career behind and pursued a new dream!
I really loved working with people and making them feel comfortable and beautiful in front of the camera, and I love the transformative nature of photography. To take a simple photo and turn it into a work of art that tells a story, your story, what could be more fulfilling than that?
I’ve been at PGP since February 2024 & training under Priscilla for over a year now and have been loving it ever since! You’ll see me at your session fixing your hair, managing lighting, posing you, behind the camera & being Priscilla’s right-hand gal.
A little bit about me is that I’m Latina and my parents are from Puerto Rico and Peru. I’m from Raleigh, North Carolina but I am originally from Miami, Florida. I have a fur baby named Charlie that is a chihuahua/terrier mix that I (shamefully) spoil rotten. I’m also a stained glass/lampworking artist and love to hike, travel, and read! Any chance to work on a project that gets my hands dirty, whether it be upcycling some vintage furniture or plants some new flowers in my garden, I’m your gal!
Fun fact: I’ve backpacked through Iceland solo for an entire month, and two weeks of that in a campervan. My dream destination to travel is Peru, and I’d love to backpack there one day to get to know more about my heritage and culture! :)
Meet Hadley

Hey, my name's Hadley!
I'm new to Charlotte, having just moved from Atlanta after living there since 2020. I got my bachelor's in Film & Media from Emory University, and I worked in film, TV, videography, photography, and social media throughout college and the year after graduation. Basically anything with a picture and a story involved, and I'm there creating and coordinating!
Before I zeroed in on photography here at PGP, I made a number of documentary short films. My favorite part of filmmaking was always the interviews, especially with people I'd never met before. There are so many parts of film and photography that can be uncomfortable--adjusting someone's microphone, hair, outfit, directing them where to sit and how, trying to distract from the camera lens pointed straight at them, all while inviting them to be vulnerable with a stranger. That's why it was so fulfilling to me when I finally saw their shoulders relax, and they would share the most incredible stories. When you have a session with me, making you relaxed enough to capture you at your best and most beautiful is always my number one priority!
My favorite kinds of sessions are branded shoots, personality pics, documentary-style, and outdoor shoots. I love capturing details most people miss, little moments that show connection, and to show a side of you that you'd never see otherwise--the side of you that everyone else knows and loves!
Outside of film & photography, I'm big into camping, hiking, and anything outdoorsy. (The Smoky Mountains have been a second home to me all my life!) Some other rapid-fire fun facts: my favorite band is the Indigo Girls, I did mock trial in college (and coach a team now that I'm graduated), I know too much about cars from my wonderfully smart boyfriend who works in motorsports, and my life dream is to have a horse I can run across an open field with (I'm never beating the horse girl allegations).
It's not just the photos, it's about remembering how you felt when you were taking them! Let's get you the session you deserve!
