It's good to be back from the holidays. First post up is the Hurr Family portraits, I photographed them during this Fall mini sessions. They are a wonderful family to be around not to mention my Husbands boss :) It has been a great experience to share my photography with them. I loved every moment of it! It ended up being a rainy day but that didn't stop us. The pictures were taken in the Hurr's backyard. Even though it was cloudy and we did not have much time outside, the light was beautiful and I think they turned out great. Of course I'm bias I took the pictures, Please enjoy!
I had so much fun planning this little girl's portrait session. Her name is Diyanira. My 2 year old son loves her. Her mother contacted me and told me she wanted a snow white theme portrait session and she wanted as soon as possible before Diyanira grew out her snow white dress. So within the same week I created a pinterest board for inspiration you can see it here, went together shopping to find props that would be perfect for the session, ordered a cake( thank goodness for quick turnaround time from food lion) and set a location for the session Spring Farms in SC. They were so sweet to let us photograph there.
We had a two outfits #1 Snow white dress & outfit #2 casual attire but using the snow white inspiration red, blues and yellows.
I absolutely loved how the pictures turned out. Please enjoy Diyanira's 1st Birthday Pictures!!!Read More
This past Friday was fourth of July!! We are such a privileged country to have our freedom. And I am so thankful to be an american. This was the first time that my husband, little 2 year old and I celebrated 4th of July at our little town home, It was a last minute decision to have a lunch party at 2pm with all of our family joined together. But it was so worth it. This lunch party was so much fun, everyone participated in bringing this lunch to reality, from the food to the cooking to the decorations and clean up. It was a group effort. And I am so happy that I actually took out my big camera to record and capture this moment. Looking back through the pictures reminded me of what a great day it was, and how lucky I am to have family and friends that I love close by and here with me. After the lunch in the evening we went and watched fireworks at bb&t baseball park/stadium. It was such an experience, there was so much people... being parents to a now 2 year old, my husband being a graduate student for a PHD in physics , and I just opening a brand new business last year we don't have much of a social life you can say... but I was so glad we decided to go see the fireworks, my son really loved it; even though at the time he was really tired and a little scared, he was watching me as I edited the pictures of the fireworks and he was so excited and smiling at the computer so I think he really did like them. Any ways please enjoy the pictures, and I hope it takes you back to your 4th of July experience!
HAVE AN AWESOME WEEKEND!
Leia + Brandon
Photography Engagement session takes place in Brandon's Backyard. I loved everything about this Charlotte E-session, from the outfits Leia brought to the accessories, energy, excitement, love in the air and the beautiful light. It was a perfect gorgeous day for a portrait session outside. I never considered myself and outdoorsy girl but I'm falling more and more in love with being outside other than just taking pictures with my camera and heading back inside. There is so much you can do. Like breathing fresh air, if ever feeling nervous, I sure do get nervous before a session. It's all the excitement and wanting to capture images that the subject will love and it captures them and their personality their style. So I leave you with this breathtaking couple and their E-session photos.
They could totally be models, Please enjoy.Read More
What a beautiful Easter day it was to photograph this family. 14 in all. And we did it in less than 1 hour and a half. That's a pat in a back for me being able to photograph them in a short amount of time and capture some great memories for this family on Easter day.
