Here at PRISCILLA GREEN PHOTOGRAPHY, we’ve spared no expense in using top-tier cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment, ensuring that every shot is captured with precision.
For every photography session, our go to camera is the Canon 5D Mark IV and we usually switch between 1-2 lenses. In addition, we have studio soft boxes and lighting stands that are setup to stimulate light scenarios.

5 Ways to prepare for your Newborn Session
Welcoming a newborn into your family is such a special moment filled with joy and wonder. Capturing these fleeting early days through professional newborn photography can create timeless memories that you'll cherish forever. To ensure your session goes smoothly and you get the most out of it, here are five essential tips to prepare for a newborn photography session:
Booking in Advance
Newborns are best photographed within the first two weeks of life when they are still very sleepy and easily poseable. It's ideal to schedule your session during this period to capture those adorable curled-up poses and serene expressions. Be sure to book your photographer in advance to secure a slot around your due date, as newborn photographers often have limited availability. By scheduling early you can ensure a successful and enjoyable session that captures the essence of your newborn's early days and you can embrace this magical time of pregnancy.
Creating a safe environment
We create a comfortable and warm environment for your baby during the session. Keep the room temperature slightly higher than usual (around 75-80°F or 24-27°C) to ensure your newborn stays cozy and comfortable while being photographed in their adorable outfits and props. We also have a portable heater available to keep your little one toasty warm. A calm and quiet atmosphere always helps keep the baby relaxed and sleepy, which is perfect for achieving those precious, peaceful shots.
Planning Outfits and Props
Discuss with your photographer beforehand about the style and theme you prefer for the session. We provide a variety of props, wraps, and outfits, but you might also want to incorporate personal items such as a favorite blanket or a special toy. Simple, timeless outfits usually work best, as they keep the focus on your baby's natural beauty without overwhelming the photos.
What to bring with you
During the session, your baby is in control. We allow time for breaks to feed and comfort your baby as needed. A well-fed and content newborn is more likely to stay calm and relaxed throughout the session, allowing us to capture those precious moments. Bring along extra diapers, wipes, baby bottles, pacifier, hairbrush, burp clothe, blanket and any other essentials your baby may need to ensure they stay comfortable throughout the shoot.
